The park´s botany

The park's botany combines history, architecture and nature with flowering rhododendrons, azaleas and rare trees.

Ørnsø

At Ørnsø, bird life changes with the seasons and beneath the surface lives an unusually rich fish population in a lake where the state of the water continues to evolve.

Ørnsøstien

A walk around Ørnsø is a hike where you can experience nature up close. Even though the lake is close to the city, the area offers peace and plenty of fresh air.

Nature

Experience one of Denmark's largest and most beautiful forest areas, including old stands of beech and historic rhododendrons.

Meadow and bog

At the west end of Ørnsø, a 40-hectare meadow and bog area spreads out, where nature can develop. At the outlet of Funder Å, the water forms a living delta.

Hiking tours

You can explore the area's four hiking trails. They take you out into the tranquility of nature and bear traces of cultural history in several places.

Archaeology

The area around Ørnsø has traces of Stone Age hunters and fishermen. The forests contain burial mounds and Iron Age field systems.
