Organisation

The Art Centre Silkeborg Bad is an independent institution. It was founded in 1992 on the initiative of, among others, Silkeborg Municipality, the independent institution Silkeborg Teater, the former Tourist Association for Silkeborg and Gjern and the former Realkredit Danmark. Today, Silkeborg Municipality and SME Silkeborg have 3 seats on the institution's board, which consists of 9 board members in total.

A professional staff of 13.5 full-time equivalents is responsible for the daily operation of both the Art Centre's ongoing content production, dissemination and audience services as well as the sculpture park area. 70 volunteers help with various tasks.

The institution is housed in some of the buildings that once belonged to the health resort Silkeborg Bad. The name "Art Centre Silkeborg Bad" reflects both the past and the present.
